THE ROMAN TIME MACHINE

THE ROMAN TIME MACHINE – BOOK 1
VESUVIUS
On Zak’s thirteenth birthday, a strange girl called Maia appears in his classroom … out of thin air. But before he has time to work out where she has come from, the two of them somehow travel back in time and find themselves running for their lives through the streets of ancient Pompeii, chased by sinister hooded figures.
And when they realise they have arrived in the Roman city only days before Vesuvius is due to erupt, their desperation to find a way back home becomes even greater. But who exactly is Maia? And can Zak really trust her?

THE ROMAN TIME MACHINE – BOOK 2
THE PROPHECY
Zak is thoroughly despondent. It has been six months since he and his friends escaped from Pompeii, yet they are no nearer finding a way to stop the all-powerful Vulcanus and his growing army of followers.
After they are forced to flee to the ancient city of Rome itself, they begin a desperate search for allies, others with god-like abilities, who can help them in their struggle. But whilst there, they learn of a prophecy that seems to foretell the demise of Vulcanus. Maybe if they can decipher the prophecy’s meaning in time, there may yet be a way to defeat their enemies. The problem is, Vulcanus knows of the prophecy, too. And is prepared to stop at nothing to prevent it ever coming true.

THE ROMAN TIME MACHINE – BOOK 3
THE DRUID OF BRITANNIA
When Zak and his friends arrive in the Roman province of Britannia, they are desperate to locate the powerful but elusive Hercules, hoping to recruit him in their fight against Vulcanus. But instead, all they find are yet more of their arch-enemy’s allies, fearsome warriors intent on tracking down the group of friends and dragging them back to their evil master.
And then, when they are forced to flee to the west of the island, they come face to face with a mysterious druid, a man who seems to be even more despicable than Vulcanus himself. A man they must avoid at all costs. A man they witness sacrificing his prisoners in a huge wicker man.

THE ROMAN TIME MACHINE – BOOK 4
THE SWORD OF HERCULES
With Vulcanus growing ever more powerful, Zak is more determined than ever to find Hercules. So when he finally believes he has located the man, he races to southern Gaul to seek his help, all the while praying that Hercules will indeed turn out to be the great warrior he and his friends so desperately need him to be.
Meanwhile, Maia’s own powers are becoming stronger by the day. But will she be able to control them? Or will they soon begin to control her?
